About Proxima

OSHA compliancespecialists

Proxima turns OSHA compliance into software, with an occupational medicine physician behind every clinical decision.

Why We Built It

Compliance shouldn't cost a day of work

The requirements aren't the problem. The processes are. Most companies still run compliance on paper forms, clinic bookings, and spreadsheets. We put the whole program in software. Same standard, a fraction of the work.

Clinical Oversight

A physician sets the clinical logic

Dr. Martin decides what the questionnaire asks, what clears without review, and what gets escalated to a physician. The software carries out those decisions.

How adaptive questioning works

Each answer rules branches in or out. A worker with no relevant history moves through quickly; one with a cardiac or respiratory history gets the follow-up questions a physician would have asked in the room.

Adaptive questioning reduces evaluation time without compromising thoroughness
Industry-specific medical surveillance questionnaires (MSQ) for specialized hazards
Continuous updates based on latest OSHA guidance and medical research
Unique expertise in emerging hazards like Ground Cannabis Dust (GCD)

What changes after launch

Real evaluations surface cases the standard doesn't spell out. Those get reviewed, the logic gets adjusted, and the change ships to everyone.

How We Build

What we optimize for

Four decisions that shape everything we ship.

Design for the worker first

The person answering the questionnaire is rarely the person who bought the software. We build for them, and the compliance record follows.

Ask only what applies

Adaptive questioning drops the branches a worker's answers rule out, so a straightforward case stays short and a complex one gets the depth it needs.

The clinic is the exception

Evaluations are completed on the device a worker already carries, at the job site. Clinic visits become a last resort rather than the default.

Leave a record you can defend

Every evaluation writes its own audit trail: timestamped, searchable, and exportable the day an inspector asks for it.

How It Gets Made

From the standard to the screen

Four steps, in order, from OSHA's text to something a worker can finish standing up.

Start from the standard

We work from the OSHA text and its interpretations rather than a summary of them, so each question maps to something actually required.

Put a physician on it

Dr. Martin sets the clinical logic: what clears on the spot, what triggers a referral, and where a physician needs to look personally.

Make it answerable

Plain language, one question at a time, sized for the phone a worker already has in their pocket at the job site.

Keep it current

Standards get revised and edge cases surface. The questionnaire changes with them, and every client gets the update at once.
